BISHOP GEORGE B. QUICK, PhD

George B. Quick is a native of Durham, North Carolina. He was born on September 17, 1950, to Lillie Bell and Edward Quick. He gave his life to Jesus Christ on July 15, 1982 in Detroit, Michigan. Since accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, he has served God’s House in many different positions including: Sunday School Teacher, Cook, Worship Leader, Deacon, Minister, Elder, Armor Bearer, Chairman of the Brotherhood, Special Assistant to the Presiding Bishop and President, and Vice Chair Person to the College of Bishops. He is the founding Pastor of Shiloh Temple of Praise in Stafford, Virginia. On June 12, 2004, he was ordained a Bishop by the Shiloh International College of Bishops. Dr. Quick also serves in the following positions: Prelate, Shiloh Ministries International; Chairman of the Board of Shiloh Theological Seminary; and President of Shiloh Community Services Corporation. He is a Vietnam Veteran of the Armed Forces. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1968 to 1978. Dr. Quick retired from Civil Service in 2006 with 38 years of faithful service. His notable higher education accomplishments are his earned B.A. in Criminal Justice – Shaw University, Raleigh, NC; B.A. in Public Administration – Shaw University, Raleigh, NC; and a Master Degree in Education Administration – North Carolina Central University. He attended Graduate of Divinity School – Virginia Union University School of Theology; Masters of Divinity – Eastern Theological Center; Doctor of Divinity – Redeem Bible College; and Doctor of Ministry – Eastern Theological Seminary. He is also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute and Harvard University Government Program for Federal Executives. For Twenty-two years, he served as a Government Agency’s Representative on the National Urban League Board, Historical Black College and University Presidents Leadership Board, The National Board of Equal Opportunity, Board of President in Higher Education, and the Advisory Board to EEOC. Dr. Quick has been married to Assistant Pastor Sheila Quick for 40 years. He is the father of three daughters, one son, twelve beautiful grandchildren.
